Classes designated (SS) are SilverSneakers approved classes designed specifically for aging adults. Many insurance companies participate in the SilverSneakers program and cover the entire cost of these classes for their eligible members.
Good Vibrations Flow
Come for a beautiful hour of leaving the outside world and traveling an inward journey. Through Sound Vibration, and Flow (a combination of Qigong and Tai Chi Movements) Qi, pronounced Chi, means Energy and Gong is the effort you put into cultivating the energy you already have in your body for optimal well being. Tai Chi is moving Qigong. A chair is optional for this class.
A passive style of yoga in which the muscles of the body are relaxed in order to gently stress the deeper layers of connective tissue and fascia. Poses are held longer (3-15 minutes) as the body rests into stillness, promoting clarity and well-being. Perfect for all fitness levels, this class is also great for athletes to release fascia!
Zumba Gold (SS)
Perfect for active adults who are looking for a modified Zumba class that recreates the original moves you love at a lower intensity. The design of the class introduces easy to follow Zumba choreography that focuses on balance, range of motion and coordination.
A vinyasa style yoga class incorporating The Corebar into the sequences. The Corebar weighs 2.2lbs and acts both as a stabilizer and an unstable prop for postures, adding greater intensity to the asanas and improving muscle tone, core strength, balance and overall flexibility. This class is best for those who have established a regular fitness regimen and want a new challenge.
Strength & Balance (SS)
This 60 minute functional fitness class is perfect for aging adults, those new to exercise, or anyone recovering from an injury as it focuses on strengthening the body with a combination of light intensity cardio, weights and body resistance to build strength, increase bone density, as well as improve balance and circulation. Wear closed toed shoes for this class, no mat required.
Vinyasa Flow creatively and intuitively weaves together yoga postures and breath to promote body clairvoyance and presence. This moving meditation will not only challenge you physically but will assist to relieve stress and promote balance. Suitable for all levels.
The signature of Corebar Strong™ is that it’s 30 minutes of pure core and strength. This intense, yet playful, training program is designed to get you strong from the inside out with challenging and efficient exercises to improve the strength, mobility and stability of your entire body. No fancy dance moves, just results!
The signature of the Corebar Mobility™ is that it’s 30 minutes pure core, strength and mobility, with emphasis on mobility and functional strength. The class consists of a warm-up followed by 3 series of 7 minutes each. It is perfect as a supplement to regular strength training and will challenge your whole body in a new, more efficient way. You’ll leave the class feeling stronger and more mobile.
A form of Hatha Yoga that has an emphasis on detail, precision and alignment in the performance of posture (asana) and breath control (pranayama). The development of strength, mobility and stability is gained through the asanas.
Senior Yoga (SS)
Beginners and older adults will appreciate the slower pace and focus on strength and balance basics this class provides. The practice results in improved circulation, flexibility, increased strength and bone density, and a quiet, restful mind, leaving students grounded and energized for the day ahead.
